About Us

The North West Transport Activists Roundtable (NW TAR) is one of eight regional roundtables run under the auspices of the Campaign for Better Transport (formerly Transport 2000). We are an umbrella organisation whose purpose is to promote sustainable transport and sustainable land use to government, sub-regional bodies and local authorities. We operate mainly by engaging in transport and planning policy work and by serving on a number of regional and sub-regional bodies, but we also hold about three open meetings a year.
